I wanted to post these photos now. I'll add any comments about the April 12, 2003 Citizens United/Young America Foundation Rally (co-sponsored by the DC Chapter) later, preferably to a separate thread for the written after action report that I hope will be posted shortly.
A separate post will include my photos of the later FReep by about 10 intrepid FReepers who counterprotested the ANSWER group as they walked by the WashPost.
This was a great day. Perfect weather, but a little breezy at times. Great rally and our later FReep of the ANSWER fools went well.
If this works right, you can click on the small photo to see a full size, higher resolution, photo. For some photos, I'm just including a hyperlink without a smaller version on the thread. Captions below photos.

Yet another reminder that those whose family background includes the loss of freedom in their homeland have a special appreciation of freedom. A group of Vietnamese Americans carry a sign saying OUR PARENTS DIED FOR VIETNAM'S FREEDOM OUR CHILDREN ARE FIGHTING FOR IRAQI FREEDOM NO ONE CAN EVER STOP OUR LOVE FOR FREEDOM AND OUR FAMILY WE SUPPORT THE TROOPS |

Many wanted their photo taken with Doctor. Raoul as Saddam. Sign says: ANSWER - NOT IN OUR NAME - UNITED FOR JUSTICE & PEACE THANK YOU ANTI-WAR PROTESTERS - LOVE SADDAM |

Great Freep.
You guys demonstrated a great example of the only reason I would ever want to come near Washington DC.
To make fun of and harass the left.

Some GREAT photos! What kind of camera do you use?
Mia: the sign i was holding said "Fry Mumia!" in really BIG letters. The Leftists really hate that sign.

Great pics. However you didn't get one of me and leadpenny at our outpost position at 15th and L. Also the unknown next to me is my brother Darryl.
ALOHA RONNIE as promised BillF has posted a picture of the Free Vietnamese that attended the rally.

Thanks for posting these great pictures. It was a beautiful day to rally for the troops and freep the leftists.

Sorry that I didn't get you and LeadPenny at the FReep of ANSWER. It got pretty intense & I didn't take many photos except of the leftists there.
I started a separate thread here for the discussion of the events.

I got to watch at least part of the rally on tv---but have a house full of guests, so didn't get to sit and enjoy it all.
As usual, the DC chapter rocks!

Well done. Got to see the rally til the Cspan cameras/microphones supposedly went "out". Didn't see the replay. They went out just when Iraqi Americans were speaking of the horrors of the Iraqi regime. Imagine that.

Great pictures BillF!! Plus thanks for all the formatting and adding the captions. I know it's a lot of work. Notice that everyone at our rally was smiling and enjoying the beautiful day while those at the Anti-America rally looked pi**ed at the world. It shows that we love being here in America and they would be happier working on some collective farm in Cuba.
Sorry I missed the fun with the commies but me and Mrs. von Mises had a terrific day at the rally.
To: BillF
Great pictures once again, Bill. Your camera and your good eye for pics have added much to our efforts to expose the LIEberal/Socialist/Marxists Bastards that they are.
Thanks! I look forward to FReeping with you again soon.

Great pictures! I loved the rally; lots of inspirational speakers and patriotic music. I walked by the DC Chapter table twice and it was a very busy place. Kudos to all involved, especially Citizens United and YAF. Saturday was a wonderful afternoon to rejoice in being an American. I hope the men and women in the Persian Gulf are able to view the video from CSPAN if they missed the rally live. Many thanks to all for a most successful day.
