The Defense Department has no plan to rescind its invitation to the Rev. Franklin Graham to speak at Good Friday services at the Pentagon, despite Muslim concerns over the evangelist's labeling of Islam as "a very evil and wicked religion."

The real problem with islam is that it commands that it's followers commit evil. They are to lie to unbelievers, kill unbelievers and convert unbelievers by the sword. If they are not terrorists then they are bad moslems as they are disobeying their own scriptures.

People who don't know better claim that the radical moslems (taliban etc) are the problem and most moslems are ok. The truth is that the radical moslems are actually following their scriptures correctly. The peaceful moslems are not really moslem because they ignore their scriptures. Any moslem may decide to really get serious about their faith and then we have another terrorist on our hands.

The Christian scriptures however forbid murder, conversion by the sword (implicitly) and lying. A good Christian will be a good person while a 'good' moslem must be an evil person.

Islam is the enemy because islam commands its followers to commit evil acts against us. Islam is incompatible with freedom and therefore is incompatible with the U.S. Constitution.

If this had been an Islamic Mullah coming to speak, who had called Jews "monkeys" and Christianity "a religion of crusading murderers," imagine what this thread would be like.

Franklin Graham has been condemned to death by some Muslim clerics

Thus proving Graham's point.

True, but are Jews 'monkeys' literally, and is Christianity "a religion of crusading murderers"? I think not, and that is why comments like that are dismissed out of hand by the public at large.

But Islam is another case entirely. If you want to split hairs about peace loving Muslims and Islamists, thats fine, but the simple fact is is that the religion of peace has done all of this damage to itself, through its actions (not representative of all, but still bad PR) and the writings in its very own holy book. Islam must reconcile itself to the modern world, or it will either wither and die due to lack of good applicants, or will be killed by arms wielded by people who do not want to see the words of the Koran become reality...JFK

"We can all guess what the reception would be for a religious leader who said that Christianity is evil or Judaism is evil or any other religion is evil."

Like Mohammad?

Here's an excerpt of the speech I gave at our Rally for America last month:

"...Now, someone might say, “But what about the threat we face today from Islam? They believe in God, don’t they? Isn’t that why they did what they did on 9-11? Isn’t it because they are a bunch of ‘religious fanatics’?”

I know it isn’t PC to say this, but I’m going to say it anyway, because it is the truth—and it is a truth that every American had better understand—the sooner the better: Islam doesn’t mean ‘peace’, as some claim—it means ‘submission’.

Radical Islam is an ideology; no different than nazism or communism were political ideologies.

They have made no secret of the fact that their goal is to enslave the entire world—and that their plan for those who won’t submit to their tyrannical rule is the same fate suffered by nearly 3000 Americans on 9-11.

In short, radical Islam is anathema to our American institutions of government. They are incompatible.

Does that mean that any American is not free to worship as he or she sees fit? Of course not. But this political ideology called Islam, one that wants to enslave; to force people to bend their knee by force; won’t cut it in America.

No, my friends, these hard-hearted terrorists didn’t serve God when they walked up behind the pilots of those planes and slit their throats, starting a process that would lead to even greater horrors—men, women, and children trapped in burning towers—helpless to escape—some being forced to jump to a certain death rather than endure being burned alive.

They didn’t serve God when they cut off Daniel Pearl’s head live on videotape.

Saddam Hussein wasn’t serving God when he killed hundreds of thousands of his fellow Muslims, or when he tortured and killed his own citizens, or when he gave aid and comfort to those who wanted to attack America.

Palestinians don’t serve God when they walk onto a crowded bus or a busy pizzeria in Tel Aviv and detonate explosives that are full of nails and rat poison—designed to cause as much suffering to their innocent victims as possible. Well—actually they do serve ‘A’ ‘god’—the god of death and destruction—but certainly not the True and Living God who said, “Love one another”.

Now, let me contrast their hideous acts to what was demonstrated by Americans on 9-11:

Firemen and policemen went up the stairs when everyone else was going down; office workers who, instead of taking their chance to escape, stayed to try and help others get out of the doomed buildings; the heroic passengers of Flight 93, who, when they learned what had happened to the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, immediately knew that the hijackers were in all likelihood taking their aircraft to a similar target, probably the Capitol or the White House.

So, what did they do? Did they do what crews and passengers of hijacked planes have always been advised to do, and what the poor crew and passengers on the other three flights did; stay cool, go along with them, and wait for the cavalry to come charging in to save them?

NO, they had the information—the intelligence—they needed to know that the war had changed—the enemy had changed the rules. They also knew that ‘the government’ wasn’t going to help them. They knew there wasn’t a policeman on the corner who was going to come with sirens blaring and strobe lights flashing.

So, they, like other Americans before them, formed a committee on the spot--choosing leaders and instantly deciding on the mission. They knew that if they failed to overpower the terrorists, one of our national landmarks would very likely be destroyed, and thousands of people were probably going to die.

So, they looked around for any weapon they could find—and settled for what they had—a serving cart, dishes of boiling water heated up in the microwave, and their bare hands—they waited for their moment, and then attacked when they heard the now-famous words, “Let’s roll!”

You know the rest; they paid for their defiance of the terrorists with their lives; but God only knows how many lives they saved that day in Washington, D.C.

These enemies of ours have shown that they have a total disregard and disrespect for innocent human life..."

Its about time someone said the Truth about the Islam. All I can say to the Muslims is: The Truth hurts doesn't it? Get your religion straightened out! Get rid of the radical clerics. You say yours is a religion of peace - PROVE IT! Make some changes to back up your claim!

The fact is that Islam and the Bible do not share the same God. Perhaps the breaking news section is not the appropriate place for this line of argument. But etymologically the name Allah is not the same as "God." It comes from Assyrian moon god and Ishtar... The name of the Assyrian moon god is Sin. You may think that is mere coincidence. But our attachment of the word sin to the concept of sin grows from the barbaric and sinful worship of the Assyrians. So, worship of Allah is worship of Sin.

Our Lord and Saviour came to destroy Sin... you get the picture.

The crescent moon symbol is a vestige of the worship of the pagan moon god "Sin". So hundreds of millions of people openly and ignorantly worship Sin under the name of Islam (submission to Allah - or Sin).

The wages of multiculturalism have meant that we have blinded ourselves to the fundamental distinctions between the gods of the pagan world and the Holy One of Israel.

All you're saying is "yeah, but Islam IS an evil and wicked religion."

Circular reasoning.

Irrelevant. We have freedom of conscience here, and it is not a good thing to have the Pentagon seen as allowing "hate speech" from some but not others.

I said no such thing. I merely stated that Islam is having bad PR problems, and it is the fault of Islam itself. Dead men do tell tales, and thousands murdered by Muslims (however misguided they may be) over the last 30 years (along with women and children) speak with a voice that is deafening, unless you simply do not want to hear. Islam is in a PR crisis (among other crises), and Graham's opinions quite simply elucidate what many citizens of the entire world are thinking.

You claim hatred and bigotry, but can distrust and malevolant opinion based on experience rather than ignorance can truthfully be called such? Your first round KO of the straw man you created is the only irrelevance here...JFK

Please find for me an Islamic Mullah who has been targeted for assasination by Franklin Graham, Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell or any prominent Rabbi.

And beyond that, yeah, I'd have a big problem with an Islamic Mullah speaking at a GOOD FRIDAY service.

Right, and this is a pretty good quote also:

"We're not attacking Islam, but Islam has attacked us," the younger Mr. Graham said.

Also, could you prove that Mr. Graham's speech is 'hate speech' as you say, and not reasoned opinion realized through pursuit of facts and logical processing of those facts? That would go much farther to making your case than the course you are currently on, in my humble opinion...JFK
