It started, I think, last Sunday, so we're going on a week. Same old, same old. Beautiful morning. Heat and humidity move in. Sun goes down. Kaboom.

I remember the pattern from living in the DC area in mid-late summer. Seemed like every afternoon around 4 o'clock for weeks.

Keep us posted. . .

Yeah, but you're talking thunderstorms, not tornados every evening at 4.

Move to Mexico, we don't have tornados down here. Just earthquakes.

Yes indeed -- I know. I just remembered the hot-boil-over-afternoon scenario.

Actually, tomorrow COULD be the worst tornado day of the week, outbreak over Eastern MO/Illinois/Iowa.

It's possible that activity tonight could help mitigate that, if debris from these storms inhibit heating tomorrow.

Where are you at? I'm in Greenwood, between Lee's Summit and Pleasant Hill. My family members live in Pleasant Hill and Harrisonville.

Last night was scary.

The Turner Turnpike is beginning to resemble the Basra "Highway of Death".

It's difficult to get romantic with the Doppler Radar scans and weather watchers screaming on the TV in the background.

"Not tonight Honey, Ive got a tornadoache."

Series Lee, we have the best people and the latest technology in place to project paths and issue warnings regarding these deadly storms.

Stay safe! I am in Florida and it is close to 100 every day here. A/C constantly going. I heard earlier on Fox that a tornado was headed to W.Va., good ole Senator Byrd's state.
