Another tornado moving into Oklahoma City

Storm spotters report a large tornado approaching Oklahoma City. This just happened yesterday. God be with those people.

yes...our sirens are going off...and there is one on the ground about 20 miles out from the city. Heading right for Yukon...and Mustang...OKC suburbs. We had hail about tennisball size in Yukon an hour or so ago. Now a tornado. Going to be a hairy ride.

SPOTTERS OBSERVED A TORNADO 7 MILES WEST OF UNION CITY...MOVING
EAST-NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS AND LIFE THREATENING SITUATION! PERSONS IN UNION
CITY... SOUTHEAST EL RENO... YUKON... AND NORTHWEST MUSTANG SHOULD
SEEK SHELTER IN A BASEMENT... SAFE ROOM... OR IN AN INTERIOR ROOM ON
THE LOWEST FLOOR NOW TO PROTECT YOU LIFE!

You can see the hook eco plain as day on that one, it looks like it will go just north of the city from looking at that radar image. Im surprised they have the sirens going off already if the storm is still 20 miles out, i suppose they are a bit jumpy though considering their history.

no question..I have been through both. At least in the day...you can see them coming. At night...you can't...unless there is some pretty good lightening to back light it.

when they spot one...within about 15 to 20 miles...they will sound the sirens for one cycle...to alert everyone...then they will stop them until one is emminent. At least that has been the pattern in recent years. We have the best severe storm warning system in the world. Bar none.

The Weather Channel showing a hook moving close to the city...just to the west and northwest of Oklahoma City. Looks bad.
