What evidence do you have, other than reductio ad adsurdum? The notion of securing our borders and controlling immigration is hardly untenable.

Guess it wasn't too plain.Well, even with my Sarc-o-meter almost always set on High, I didn't catch that she was being anything other than an annoying leftist troll. I've had the same conversation repeated times with others of that mindset.
If one wants to employ reductio ad absurdum, it is generally agreed that an indication of that be applied to the end of the post, like so: /sarcasm--or some such device. Otherwise one leaves oneself open for misunderstanding, not to mention the almighty ZOT.
