Here in NC as well...our beautiful mountains are starting to look like a poor mexican town with all the run down homes and shops they set up.You know, I've never understood this either. Lived in the mountains for close to a decade and remember all the Mexicans up there and saw more than a few that couldn't speak a lick of English. I always figured it was worse down here in the flatlands, but after three years, I can honestly say I've seen more in the mountains than I've seen here in Raleigh. I know the numbers bear out the opposite, but I just don't see that many immigrant workers in the same places I used to see them up in Asheville

I couldn't speculate what it is like in the mtns. now... I have not been up there camping since before my daughter was born in 2000.
