Last year there was a lava thread like this that had over 2000 posts. This one hasn't even begun yet lol.

Heh heh heh. If I'm thinking about the same tread that was the Grand Central Station for a Grassroots effort to stop Bush's 245(i) amnesty bill from passing and I think that thread clocked out at around 2800 (and it would have gone higher IF...). Our work did pay off, at least in the Senate and we made more than a few Republican representatives sweat about their decision on that amnesty bill. A year and 2 million illegals later I wonder if we could assemble that same level of influence now.

Can't remember if you were on it or not, but Sarcasm posted it and I believe it was a Tancredo thread, turned into quite a nasty barfight. It's actually been my favorite thread, I was still new at FR at the time, there was excellent debating going on and PRND21, Advogado (now banned), and Dane were all on hand for the usual insults lol. Today it would be in the The Smokey Backroom.
