Well, I guess that's where you and I part company. But then again, I've never been one to sit back and take a beating, either. Those who fight to protect their nation have long kept pacifists from becoming martyrs. When and if we get this invasion staunched, and the whole ugly mess straightened out, you can thank us then.

By the way, I just read your profile, and as an "ex-Army killing machine" and software engineer, your stance on this issue surprises me. Your faith must be incredibly strong, and I congratulate you on that. As a former (not ex) soldier myself, I still feel incredibly inclined top defend my country, despite the fact my shoulders and knee make it impossible to do so in uniform anymore. My oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, didn't end just because my contract with the national government did. Did yours?
