I was curious about what a Coosa-Tallapoosa was. Google answered my question. It's a river between Alabama and Georgia. What an interesting name. LOL.

Actually, the Coosa and the Tallapoosa are two separate rivers. Both originate in the State of Georgia, wind their way into eastern Alabama, and converge between Wetumpka and Montgomery to form the Alabama River. The Coosa has six dams in Alabama, forming Lakes Jordan, Mitchell, Lay, Logan-Martin, Neely-Henry, and Weiss. The Tallapoosa has four dams in Alabama, forming Lakes Thurlow, Yates, Martin and Harris. Great fishing, water sports and scenery!
