I had it the other way round... my child was taught in publik skools....she was in 7th grade with a 3rd grade reading level..I took her out when I was told she didn't need to know basic math skills or have to write legibly..that's what computers were for. I brought her up to speed in about 3 years..

My husband's uncle teaches in L.A., however he is a solid Christian and makes no bones about it, in fact, they've pretty much given him carte blanche to teach what he wishes..which means no condom lessons, no abortion lectures, no homosexual tolerance, et al.... He can however speak 7 languages fluently, so they've decided he's a keeper.
