You know I want to say that I heard it either on Greta or LKL and I think it was a neighbor that said they saw them using the pool..and then I saw a post on last night's thread that said they heard Jackie P saying that the pool was dirty and green..

and she hopes for full closure in Laci to lay in peace... But as I hear in all murder victim cases, the pain never ceases... ;o(

That could be, but using the wedding dress as an example, I hear it was recovered from whomever took it, and scott had it drycleaned and boxed up for the family - maybe I read that wrong?

What it looks like, from all that I've seen, The Rochas wanted some stuff that Scott didn't want them to have, such as a glass memento box, so they got mad and took it all anyway...

That was a crappy thing for Geragos to do - The Rochas could have then gone to court to deal with that, but they chose the wrong way to handle it, imho... too bad, too, because they had seemed to be dealing with this whole thing exceptionally well up to this point...

It will be all ironed out in the end in the probate court, and most likely a civil court... besides the criminal actions on scaughty.. ;o)

My bet is that once the dust settles the Peterson's will move on to other battles. In the meantime Geragos is sitting back and smiling at all the zero's being added to his paycheck.

This makes me sick when people pass and there is a tug of war over things...you would not believe the 3yr $16,000.00 battle I had to go thru to recover my late ex-husband's estate for my young children! Ugliness, and not nessesary.

My only concern is the Peterson's are going to try to use this a an appeal down the road,they have already said that they "suspect" the Rocha's could plant evidence against Scott.

Except that if it were still a crime scene than the police would not have released it, the Peterson's should not have been in it (Prosecutors will bring up this inconsistency) and as another poster stated "Geragos is lazy" if he hadn't already gone through the house asap when he took the case. My feeling is that this will soon be a non-issue for the Peterson's, especially if the prosecutors get the autopsy reports unsealed.

Interesting the difference in reports. A pool WOULD go stagnant and water quality would start to decay if not properly maintained on a regular basis (dirty and green).

And it happens, IIRC from my days of pool ownership, quite quickly (dependent of course on the amt of chlorine etc. in the pool to begin with).

If I had been the neighbor observing the defense team using the pool...you can bet I would have taped/photographed such antics!

I think it is good that Laci's family got in there to grab what they could of their daughter's family stuff.
Let's face it, if it was left there, it would be sold at auction or garage sale for the defense of her husband and that would put all of furnishings and little things in the hands of strangers instead of her family.

Not sure on the jewelry. Most likely, my first impression is that Jackie has it! Just a hunch. From all her actions, and trying to save ol scaughty boy, she is going for broke.

I have only heard of one other murder case, not capitol that geragos is taking in LA, not sure of his win or loss stats. But I am sure if there are some legal minds here, please post it!

Yes, and I found listening to the KTVU clips on yesterday's stories, is telling on the actions Geragos is doing.

Well, I don't believe for one minute if he got that dress cleaned it was to give to the Rochas. Why would anyone believe a word from SP at this point? He lied repeatedly from the moment he told the Rocha's Laci was missing.

There has not been one documented lie come out of the Rocha family camp. Scott's very demented mother on the other hand, calls up shows and repeatedly tells false hoods. My favorite was even AFTER the Rocha's were shown the pics of Amber, Jackie Peterson told Dan Abrams SP was not having an affair and the pictures were probably just anyone taken at a party. No matter how many lies her son tells, she's willing to go along for the ride and cover for him. I heard Jackie tell Dan Abrams they were lending SP the car he was driving when arrested. Hmm.. a report came out later that SP had bought that car with cash from some guy in the auto trader mag. Lies, lies and more lies.

How's this one from Jackie; she told Greta THIS WEEK that there was NOTHING left of Laci's in that house anyway after the police went through it. I would be curious as to what personal items the Rochas retrieved. Obviously, now that Laci is gone Jackie doesn't consider any of the things Laci and Scott had together as Laci's.

Is it true that in a court of law if a person has been proven to have given untruthful testimony you can discount their entire testimony as a juror? Well, I go by that rule in the court of public opinion too. The Petersons are a big fat bunch of liars and the Rochas are not.

About Laci's wedding rings:

Please forgive me, I haven't read all the posts here (or all the threads or all the news), but why are the rings being spoken of as though Laci was not wearing them when she disappeared? Did she not wear them ALL THE TIME?

Or is it that were they still on her fingers when her body was recovered?

Ah probate court...I spent 3 years there....
And yes the other side got real ugly and in the end the judge told them they were bad people to keep continuting a case that they will surely loose in the end..only thing they were doing was costing me more money and litterly hurting their own grandchildren.
Judge was a wise man!

I agree the Rochas have handled themselves so classy through all of this, but a person can only take so much. Laci was Sharon's baby and always will be. Jackie Peterson's child is alive, and she acts like she is in more pain than the Rochas. That would be impossible.
