[history]
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Democratic presidential candidate Bob Graham said Wednesday that President Bush would be held accountable if evidence shows intelligence on Iraq's weapons program was intentionally manipulated to justify war.
Graham, a three-term Florida senator and former governor, said political manipulation of intelligence information is just one possible explanation for why an extensive weapons program in Iraq has yet to surface. But he said responsibility would fall directly on the president if such manipulation occurred.

Oh yes, and let's see, did Senator Graham insist that President Clinton take responsibility for Waco instead of his AG? Let's ask him!

"In our system of government, the president is ultimately accountable -- whether it's his decision, or the decisions of those responsible to the president"Perhaps Graham should suggest that we put Saddam back in power and make an apology to all those Ba'athists that we slandered?

This is all just another ploy on the Dems part. They are so desperate for anything that will bring Bush down. I doubt they'll find anything. It would seem to me that if the intelligence was manipulated as some are claiming, that the CIA wouldn't have been so quick to release all the documents it's sending to the Hill next week.

Oh please, let Graham win the Democrat nomination for President and let him run on this accusation.
This is about as good as the Rats accusation that Bush KNEW about 9-11 and did nothing to prevent it.
These people on the left sound like a bunch of hysterical babies.

No, the burden of proof was on Iraq. Iraq had to prove it did not have any banned WMD, we didn't have to prove that had them. All Iraq had to do was to allow inspectors to move freely around the country inspecting any facilities they wanted to at any time. Saddam did not let these types of inspections to occur as required by the cease fire agreement signed by both the US and Iraq at Saffwan in 1991.

This lying ass piece of s--t moron is getting on my nerves. He has seen the same material that Bidon sees and is saying just the opposite.

Senator Graham is a powerful figure in the intelligence community. Looks like he's trying to avoid being blamed himself.
To: JeanS
Graham is a cracker.
To: Brilliant
Your correct Senator.
/sarcasm on
The war was illegal and illegitimate. Please find Sadam and put him back in power. We promise that we will not remove bloodthirsty dictators anymore. They have an absolute right to kill their people. /sarcasm off.

Graham to his minute-by-minute diary today:
June 4 2003
7:30 a.m. woke up
7.34 a.m. brushed teeth
7:37 a.m. took shower
7:45 a.m. dressed
7:50-8:15 a.m. drove to work, stopped at three stoplights
8:30 a.m. Got to office, said hello to security man
8:43 a.m. Gave press conference and made a total jerk of myself accusing the administration of taking us to war even though I saw the same secret intelligence myself in my Senate Committee
To: JeanS
I wish we had kept a list of all the Democratic accusations against Bush since he took office.

What a pig. Graham was on the intel committee that SAW the evidence and didn't say ONE WORD at the time. He voted for the war based on that intel.

actually Graham voted AGAINST the iraq war. He is my senator. Of course, I think he voted against the war for political Pres/VP calculations, not because he didn't think Iraq was a threat or he has a burning desire to go after Hezboallah.

Weren't there two votes on the war? Did he vote against it in Aug. 2002, or in the Afghanistan resolution?
