BENTON HARBOR -- A small army of well-armed police helped keep the peace for a second night in a row Thursday in Michigan's poorest city, scarred by two nights of rioting earlier in the week.

City officials on Thursday again deployed more than 250 police officers in a massive show of force that kept the streets largely quiet in the poverty-stricken area where the riots erupted Monday and Tuesday nights.

Here we go again, Same old Same old.Must not be enough free stuff in Benton Harbor for all those losers. This would be a good chance for Jesse Jackoff to drop some of that money he ripped off his followers. Gov.Grandholm says we have No Money, watch her find some real quick, (in my pocket of course).

I have been pretty cranky since they closed our Laura Ashley store without warning. I think I will go down into the village and burn down the Starbucks and GAP.

The loss of 21 homes came to $350,000 there.
Are they made of tin or what?
A SINGLE wretched home around me cost about $400,000.
How can they make 21 homes for $350,000?

If the residents want out, they to should move. If they can't find jobs there (as an example) you have to move to where the jobs are.

"The root problem is not a high-speed chase. The root problem is deeper than that," Granholm said.

The root cause of the problem is that an individual's irrational actions were a direct cause of his own death, and property was destroyed by criminals without repercussions. Granholm is in way over her head. Lousy attorney general. Clueless as a governor.

It's simple. If BH wants to come back, they have to do it themselves, and take a stand against the bad guys. They need to improve their schools. They need to watch their neighborhoods and go after the scum.

They have to start by getting married, so there is a Dad in the house. The rest of it won't come without stable family lives.
