My question is, how did the cops know these guys were having sex? Were they in their own house?

A vindictive neighbor called the cops and reported a robbery in progress at the two men's home when the neighbor knew no robbery was taking place. The neighbor was later charged with filing a false police report. Some people have claimed the whole deal was a "set up" by the two men who wanted to challenge the law and the neighbor was in on it too. I have seen no proof of that, although it may be true.

You think Americans just can't wait to start having sex with animals?

It seems that some people on this board need a government edict to tell them that having sex with their Cocker Spaniel is wrong.

I have had dogs all my life, and I have never even thought about the possibility of abusing my pets in such a manner.

It appears that today even conservatives wish for a powerful federal government that restrains us within the narrow framework of the Bill of Rights.

Combine that with the apparent lack of concern over government spending, and you definately see a movement (conservativism) in retreat. I'd call them liberals of a different sort, with different oxes to gore. Similar MO though..

Some strawman? As soon as some bestiality porn actor in the Valley is arrested and brought up on charges, his lawyer's going to be talking about the Lawrence v. Texas and nothing else...

Sinkspur, people have sex with animals everyday, along with multiple partners and many other things that are against the law, by this ruling if in your bedroom it not against the law anymore.

CONSENSUAL ADULTS says nothing about animals, or children, or adultery.

And until he wins, its still just a strawman.

10th Amendment says:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

The powers of the government are, and of right ought to be, limited.

The 10th amendment is too often ignored.

It sickens me to see Chucky-boy and the other a--holes in the Senate dare to question whether a proposed judge will abide by their liberal activist decisions, and then denounce them when the proposed judge even hints that the discussed decision (abortion, affirmative action, and now anal sex) is not agreed with.

There was absolutely no bitching about Ginsburg, who worked for an activist organization before appointment. Try seeing a lawyer from Institute for Justice or similar make it anywhere near a federal bench.

SCOTUS sided with individual rights, including private perversion between two consenting adults

That particular perversion is anything but private.

Well nothing is if one goes around peeking in windows.

Ok, manybe 'most' is the wrong word. How does the word 'several' sound? I know it's Hollywood, but just watch an episode of Queer as Folk. And it isn't a secret that many gay clubs and establishments have 'back rooms' for sex. Is that legal? Meaning, is it their 'right' to have sex wherever they want? It's no one's right. Hetero, homo, bi, whatever...

No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States;

I guess we'll have to find out what the 'court' thinks the definitions of THESE words are........

Is it legal for any adult to have sex with any other consenting adult? What about orgies?

Does this mean you can have sex with your 18-year-old daughter now?

Yup. Give her a call and tell her the good news.

Fantastic! Some do not care what the Constitution means, only what they can make of it to get their way.

New subjects come before the courts that were never considered by the Founders and then the courts must do the best they can to fit them into the Constitution. But when a subject was well known to the authors and ratifiers of the Constitution their judgement on it can not be overthrown by wishful penumbras.

State homosexual laws are being rejected by voters- that is the only constitutional way.
