My question is, how did the cops know these guys were having sex? Were they in their own house?

Most gays believe they have the *right* to have sex anywhere, not just in the privacy of their own home. That assumption is completely wrong. What you do in your own home is your business, but don't even think that means you have the right to have sex in a gay club, fitness center, public bathroom, etc. Dime to donuts they think this ruling will allow them this 'freedom' to have sex wherever they want. But having sex wherever you want whenever you want is NOT a right. Period.

"Most" gays think they have a right to have sex anywhere? Can you cite a statistic about this?

BTW, the cops entered the house on the suspicion that there was a gun inside. Instead, they found two guys having sex.

I believe a neighbor called the police, claiming that there was a violent domestic dispute taking place in their apartment.

A vindictive neighbor called the cops and reported a robbery in progress at the two men's home when the neighbor knew no robbery was taking place. The neighbor was later charged with filing a false police report. Some people have claimed the whole deal was a "set up" by the two men who wanted to challenge the law and the neighbor was in on it too. I have seen no proof of that, although it may be true.

I know several gay people and not a single one of them would make such a risible assertion. You're speaking a bunch of bullsh!t.

Would you be so kind as to provide some information about this? Where did you get this information?

Yes they were, well aparently their own apartment. The cops *did not* know they were having sex. A neighbor reported someone "going crazy", and they broke in on probable cause of a crime in progress. Just not the crime they arrested the men for. But that apparently doesn't enter into the decision. If it did, all drug busts at "seatbelt" checkpoints would be invalid, and they're not.
