The war over the war in Iraq continues to reverberate on Britain's newspaper row, and now some of the fallout has crossed the pond, striking the poor Christian Science Monitor.
That strait-laced journal now confesses that it was misled by some genuine, authentic forged documents alleging that Saddam Hussein's regime had paid a British MP some $10 million to puff its image abroad. My word. It's a little like having your pastor admit he was taken in by a lady of the evening.

George Galloway was obviously set up, and framed, by the operatives of Tony Blair, who then leaked these forged documents to the most perfidious tabloids all around the world. Everybody was simply taken in, both by the scope and the audacity of the fraudulent story that was planted in the press and electronic media.

I suspect the documents the Daily Telegraph has are authentic. I suspect the other documents are forgeries that were made by Galloways allies in Iraq to cast doubt on the legitimate documents the Telegraph published.
What will be interesting is to find out the train of custody of the documents the Christian Science Monitor published>
