DEAN WANTS TO CLEAN: EYES CHANGES AT DNC, MCAULIFFE

Presidential contender Howard Dean has confided to associates how he desires a fresh course for the Democratic National Committee, including a dramatic change in its leadership, specifically chairman Terry McAuliffe, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

Sources close to the early-Democratic frontrunner reveal how Dean has bitterly complained about McAuliffe and the lackluster job he has done for the party.

"We'll make a change there immediately [after the New Hampshire primary]," a top Dean source said of the DNC leadership. "I think it is important, as does Howard, to make a new beginning, cut ties from the past."

"Oil and water, those two," said one Washington observer of Dean and McAuliffe.

"I was watching Terry going quietly mad, almost to the point of steam coming out of his ears, as Dean greatly exceeded the 2-minute time limit at the candidates' dog & pony show last week at the Mayflower Hotel."

Someone might want to warn him against travel in small aircraft and long walks in Ft. Marcy Park.

It will be a sad day for the Republicans if the Rats ever rid themselves of the Clinton vermin.

Don't be too overconfident. Remember, the Clintons as unknowns pulled off the unthinkable in 1992. Now the Clintons are not unknowns. Now they garner a fawning, gushing, Clintons-can-do-no-wrong following of media elite and many Dems. Nearly all of those who voted for Al Gore would vote for Hillary. Being the 1st female serious presential contender, Hillary could also garner a significant female vote. Underestimate her and the Clinton machine and you will see a repeat of 1992.

Ha ha! This thread you started is so funny! I responded immediately after reading just your first post, then I went back to read all the others. They were essentially the same as my own! I guess I am not surprised since we have the evil couple figured out.

Man, ya ruined my dinner with those images!

Seriously though, I think Hillary is the most devisive person in the last 100 years to befoul the public discourse. She is evil, but she is overrated. She will never be President IMHO.

Even the idea that * would be running would cause civil unrest like this country hasn't seen since the 60's.

Dean doesn't understand that to reform, one must first admit to an addiction . The Demms will never admit to that Clinton Addiction or to what it has cost them.

He'll be lucky to survive the primary, literally.

OK, maybe not small aircraft. How about " Always fly with Bill, Hitlery, of Terry on board whatever aircraft you choose."

Dean is finished.

Yes, with the Dem leaders -- but, what Dean is saying here is EXACTLY what the Dem primary base desperately wants to hear. (And, no one else has said it.) I think Dean may be wind up being the Dem nominee, but, he will lose in a landslide to GW.

I totally disagree with Dean, but the man is not a total idiot. He knows that the Clintons control the party through Global Crossing Terry. Hillary will not allow a fellow RAT to win in 2004. She will do things behind the scenes to destroy any of them who get too strong.

I doubt this will happen. Bill and Hil PUT McAuliffe in, and he ain't going nowhere!

They will hang him out to dry, they are done using him. Loyalty and the Clintons don't go together :)
