?? Yeah, I read it. NASA's Mission to Planet Earth has been doing more than temperature readings at different levels. They've also been sampling CO2 and methane levels at different levels.

Global warming has, as one effect, warming of the air first and then the surface. But on the climate models, there are other early indicators -- such as disturbances in the decadal ocean patterns, like those in the North Atlantic Basin, and more severe weather events.
