I'm sorry, but Cindy's bare butt just above your screen name is too much...

Also, if a girl is maybe 3 ounces overweight they are an atrocity. The low waistband will squeeze up the excess into the shape of a man's "love-handles" and make her look like a slob.

I've said it before but I'll say it again. Anorexia is bad. Low-rise jeans are bad. But together, they could've worked!

Let's analyze (no pun intended). 1) who is going to see panty lines through thick denim jeans? 2) When a girl wears pants that you can see a panty line through you can also see the tell-tale absence of pantylines. Sometimes you can even see her thong. What's more, with the current crop of low-rise jeans it only takes the slightest bit of normal human movement and...POW!...you can see her thong on public display!

Which therefore brings up the subject of camel toe.....

Recent college graduate Marianne Pusz, 23, of Ohio, loves low-rise jeans. She won't wear anything else and says they are a "godsend to women with big butts. "They show off your waist," Pusz said. "But if you don't have a butt, it's not going to make you look better by having your butt hang out. Older women wear the waist-high jeans, and it doesn't matter if you're the skinniest woman on the planet, they are going to make it look like you have a butt the size of Texas."

This girl has no idea how a woman's butt should appear, due the prevalence of homosexual tastemakers as fashion designers and casting directors, whose feminine ideal is a 12 year-old boy with implants.

The only women who look good in low-rise pants are 9s and 10s, who look good in anything. Butt cleavage draws attention away from the small of the back, which is one of the most subtle and erotic countours of the female form.

Of course, one can always draw attention back with a black and green tatoo on the tailbone.

The only way you'd have panty lines under jeans is if your underwear was riding up. I personally do not care to see a teen's thong, nor her butt crack. I bet they'd hollar if a boy came up to them to cop a feel, wouldn't they ? Boys these days are pretty brazen. But if you put it on display, how can you complain if someone takes advantage ? My daughter is 14, and she and her friends would be absolutely mortified if their butt crack showed in public.

I like my lowrise jeans, they are comfy and look good with halter tops.

Thanks for rounding out the discussion re: the degree to which this trend is popular across ethnic/sartorial lines.

Hope you don't think I'm being cheeky, but threads like this really require digital imagery to get to the bottom of things. Care to take a crack at it?

(crickets...total silence...disgusted sigh from NYC. Meanwhile, in Houston, a thong is thung- "hic...To dream, the impossible dream...") *grin*

It's great to be young- live it up!

I may be on crack but it appears that Cindy is barely "dancing". More informed people would call it something else...

fwiw: i'm reasonably sure the man pictured there is her husband. (i read it on the internet somewhere, so it must be true :)

Low-rise! :) I like them just a hair under my hips.(no-rise only look good on certain people, personally I find them umcomfortable in denim...in stretchy material they are ok..)
