"Plumber's butt." You know, that blindingly pale patch of derriere that peeks out from between a shirt that rides up and pants that slide down. Most commonly seen when a beefy plumber or other worker reaches or squats while on the job.

Here is Cindy Crawford having the same problem as your husband, but she has Dancer's Crack.

I may be on crack but it appears that Cindy is barely "dancing". More informed people would call it something else...

I guess now the term "crack whore" has a broader definition.

Elisha Corley, 16, of Brookhaven, doesn't find anything comfortable about wearing thongs under her low-ride jeans, but she wears them to avoid pantylines.

I am so sick of this paper-thin rationalization. I hear this garbage all the time.

Let's analyze (no pun intended). 1) who is going to see panty lines through thick denim jeans? 2) When a girl wears pants that you can see a panty line through you can also see the tell-tale absence of pantylines. Sometimes you can even see her thong. What's more, with the current crop of low-rise jeans it only takes the slightest bit of normal human movement and...POW!...you can see her thong on public display!

Hmmmm.... now, why would a girl object to the unfashionable or embarrassing sight of panty lines but not object to having the world know that she's wearing a thong? Simple, b/c she wants the world to know she's a wild and crazy girl. It's as easy as that.

The same dupes who fall for the panty line rationale, probably also believe that folks get their tongues pierced "because it looks cool." Suuuuuurrrrre. ;-)

What sad times are these when some guy who looks like Clint Howard gets to dance with / grope Cindy Crawford!?

The effect is no longer just a boy's club, as women are baring their posteriors — sometimes intentionally, sometimes not — in the name of fashion.

Don't you think women are masters at showing what they want to show and when? I think the unintentional part is pretty rare. LOL

I think it's even worse than that. Isn't Cindy Crawford's husband also a professional hairstylist?!?!

I live in NYC - trust me the low rise jean is a VERY trendy...latina's, white girls, club girls, black girls, fashionita's, hip-hop girls, - they are all wearing the jeans super low. I like my lowrise jeans, they are comfy and look good with halter tops.

Trust me. As the parent of two teenagers I can safely say the "white girls" are doing it too.

I am wondering where everyone lives that this would even be post-worthy.

I haven't seen any female under 30 wear any jeans OTHER than this type for a few years now. I am not sure where you would even buy them.

I have a 16-year-old daughter, that's the only kind she owns.

I like the way they look, but not on my daughter!

Also, if a girl is maybe 3 ounces overweight they are an atrocity. The low waistband will squeeze up the excess into the shape of a man's "love-handles" and make her look like a slob.

There's nothing wrong with low-rise jeans, or halter tops, per se; the problem is with SOME of the women who wear them...(g)

I live in Upstate NY. Fortunately we're in a fashion backwater here. In other words, most females still cover their behinds.

Re: "plumber's butt - I prefer "Akroids", from Dan Akroid's SNL skit highlighting his natural pencil holder.

It always brings piles of smiles.

Sacral dimples remind us of the naturally veiled ovaries with their implied fertility.

At least this "modern" dress? style takes away the focus on and by boobs, pressuring for risky implanted breasts from girls as they vie for men's short and long term attention.

All this is a reminder that for thousands of generations, surely, men preferred young brides to bear their children. Besides superficial modernity, what has changed?

Whoa! There's an unfortunate turn of phrase!

piles pl.n.
1. hemorrhoids. [Middle English piles, from Medieval Latin pil, from Latin pila, ball.]
