Officers are prohibited. I don't know if there are formal "rules' for enlisted and non-coms. Used to be, peer pressure would keep them inline, and umm...corrective action...delivered by the unit (and maybe the Specialist will wind up having bruises and aches and pains he would rather not explain from the rest of the soldiers in his unit).

On the thread from yesterday, this has been debated, some units were given clear instructions others were not but to use you better judgement. We were given a friendly warning from the 101st FRG not to talk to the media.

These loud mouthed pukes can be charged under articles 94 and 134. Time to make examples out of these arrogant nonhackers. Reduce them all to privates and have the sergeant major rip off their chevrons in front of a formation of the entire 3rd ID. Then give them a BCD and turn them loose in Iraq and let them figure out how to get home.

Enlisted and Non-Coms fall under the same rules. We are/were not to talk to the media. Ever. Except to say that we have no comment.
