I'm not sure photographs will be enough to satisfy the skeptic Iraqi people. We ought to just comply with their demand to see the bodies, IMO. Some would think it barbaric, but it's just practical.

Good. It's a pity they can't be shown hanging upside down by their heels, like Mussolini, but - heck, dead is dead.

A TOW missile streaks toward a building suspected of harboring Saddam Hussein's sons Qusay and Uday in Mosul, Iraq, on July 22, 2003. Qusay and Uday were killed in a gun battle with soldiers of the Army's 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) as they resisted efforts by coalition forces to apprehend and detain them. DoD photo by Sgt. Curtis G. Hargrave, U.S. Army. (Released)

I believe viewing by a dozen leaders wouldn't hurt..but I think the bodies are out of the country,I read.

I think you are right about the skeptics but any kind of public viewing would create all kinds of risks of violence. However, if Saddam can keep releasing audio tapes, certainly the US could manage a clearly dated video release showing the bodies.

The bodies must be shown to the Iraqi people. Plus, the Ba'athist who Id'ed them, along with the x-rays, dental records and DNA.
I hope saddam is watching if he isn't dead.

I'm pretty much in agreement with you. There are many people in this country that don't believe what the government says... we're supposed to think that the people of Iraq will believe us and turn around to become the freedom loving people we want them to be, just because we say these guys are dead??
Our country might not work that way, but theirs does (or at least has.) They are used to brutality... the pictures might upset us but could very well bring them much joy.
I'm not sure I want to see the pictures, but something has to be done to prove this to the people of Iraq.

General Sanchez also announced that U.S. forces have captured the former commander of Iraq's Special Republican Guard, Barzan Abd al-Ghafur Sulayman Majid.Given this capture and the documents discovered in the Badday brothers final resting place, the remaining Fedayeen on those lists in Oopsday's house better be looking over their collective shoulders.
Same goes for the "Speial Republican Guard members left as iheir leader probably had documents as well, or he will give it up under gentle questioning.
