This is such BS! I've written Pipes twice trying to get an idea when this would go to committee. Support for the nomination before the committee should have been addressed before this. If anybody has any more ideas on how to combat this, outside of approaching the White House to counter this, I'm in on it.

I am well aware that Senator Edward's record closely matched Ted Kennedy. However, he MARKETS HIMSELF as a New Democrat.

You're right, and that moderate image got him elected over Faircloth in a solidly red state. However, we need to be persistent in debunking that moderate image he is trying to maintain. That means that we NC conservatives call it every time we hear a fellow conservative accidently referring to him as a moderate. It's a simple message that we like to consistently repeat until people finally get it.

I too am disappointed in the Senate for this action. His nomination was defeated by the pro-Islamist lobbies and the anti-American types.
