True. I'm irked about the outsourcing but geez we are not in the Great Depression. The economy is not as bad like some are portraying.

Wasnt his son just involved in a theft? Apparently he was the driver of the get away car?He and his friends were trying to steal liquor from a local country club. But it shouldn't affect Dean's standing with liberals - after all, they were just trying to steal from the rich, a favorite Dem pastime, and it's not like the kid was taking his car through the drive-thru at Mickey D's and getting some of that horribly addictive fast food.

I'm sick of hearing about this Dean guy. He is one weird little dude. He doesn't even have to open his mouth, he looks like a slimey "liberal". I have a hard time believing the majority of people are going to buy into him. He gives off "scary" vibes. But stranger things have happened.

Now if he will only have Al Sharpton as his running mate

I think the northeastern liberals are not realizing that Howard Dean would lose just about every state south of the Mason-Dixon Line if he becomes the nominee. The Democrats in the Southeast detest liberals from New England and New York--as shown by how bad Michael Dukakis got thumped in 1988.

I'm sure it would be breaking news if it were a Bush daughter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The economy will be the largest issue in the upcoming election. Mark my words. I agree. Not so much the stock market but JOBS!! The Democreeps are going to harp on the issue that during the Bush Admininstration 200,000 jobs were lost. Apparently in their eyes Sept 11th never happened.

...he appeals to supporters of former independent candidates John McCain, Ross Perot and Ralph Nader... Now, I know it's been three whole years, and I really wouldn't expect Newsday to get it right, but John McCain was never an independent candidate for President. He ran in the Republican primary against a non-incumbent. Just because he lost, and just because half his votes came from trouble-making cross-over 'Rats, does not mean he is an independent.

If one of the nine 'Rats was my only option for President, Lieberman would get my vote and it would not even be a close call.
I would hate having to hear that whiny voice for four years, though.
To: kinghorse
Lieberman's a Democrat because... He is not a Democrat on any issues. It's really weird. Probably because he is from the northeast. Packaging.

The economy will be the largest issue in the upcoming election. Mark my words. And the Archives of Free Republic, by having the Offshore-Outsourcing threads [many of which run to 400+ replies] is all the data the Dean-o-whacks need.
George the First was merely clueless about Supermarkets and Scanners.
Dubya is ACTIVELY encouraging the export of jobs.

Dean said he believes his candidacy will energize millions of young people and independents who have been turned off by standard electoral politics. Hey, it worked for Eugene McCarthy, didn't it??
