I would venture to guess that most of the people you refer to as "the rich folks here" aren't really rich at all.

Rich is anyone who's got the good wisdom to live on less than they make and have a little money in savings.

Actually from what I have always been told, wealthy means a person who lives well within their means and has made their money in an ethical way. Rich means someone who has screwed anyone and everyone to acquire what they have.
