I've followed the story on the Iceman for years.

Just add all the evidence.
1- He had an arrowhead lodged in his back. Probably took that running away.
2- His good arrows were already shot so he broke his bow over someone's head.
3- Deathgrip on his last weapon, his knife.
4- His "manhood" was missing. (The point at which he gave in to death.)

I conclude that he was an Austrian who'd got caught in the "act" with some Italian's wife. :)

Convene Greta and the rest of the Fox News legal team - we need some rolling graphics and wall to wall "Murdered Iceman" coverage.

If Geragos isn't defending, he can be a panel member.

Also, we need to have some virulent flamewars and bannings over who the real killer was.....

Just goes ta' show ya', never play cards and drink with a wandering Used-Arrow salesman.

...well...anyway...I did get a snicker (Muttly for laugh) at the report that when they lifted him off of the ground...the shrunken piece of personal anatomy my esteemed relative was famous for having severely bitten in the fray...broke off and stayed in the ice. DNA that !

Yep - probably had an arrow cut off too short and fell afoul of the local thugs government for having an "assault bow".

Maybe it was his high capacity quiver and bayonet lug on the bow that got him into trouble.

In War Before Civilization, Lawrence Keeley describes how some early burial sites contain clear evidence that at least 50% of those buried there died at the hands of other humans. That humans were peaceful and population was controlled through herb and spice birth control is a liberal myth. There was a lot of homicide back then.

I never heard this myth, and I had a very liberal education up until college.

If only he had been with Arnold. The Terminator would have dispatched his foes and brought peace and prosperity to the entire Alps region. (He'll tell you how a little later.)

Take a look at Lawrence Keeley's War Before Civilization. Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't seem to have a long enough free excerpt to get to the critical story. Keeley tells about trying to get a research grant to study prehistoric "fortifications" in Europe. Several times, his grant requests were denied. Then he changed his request to study prehistoric "enclosures" and his request was granted. Keeley shows the results of one of his digs, with hundreds of arrowheads, concentrated mainly around the perimeter and openings in the "enclosure". Perhaps they serve a "ceremonial" purpose...

Keeley gives plenty of examples and I've run into more than a few young brains full of mush that buy into this stuff. An extension is the theory that Europe was a peaceful matriarchy of humans living like bonobos and worshiping the Mother Goddess until those evil patriarchy-loving warriors came along and imposed a male-centered religion on them. Not much evidence for either but they both make for a good story that meshes well with leftist and feminist thought (or what passes for thought).

4- His "manhood" was missing. (The point at which he gave in to death.)

LOL

It been reported that his manhood was lost due to overzealous shoveling when he was first found and I think they have decided he was an "Italian".

He was fleeing something when he died and went the way of the known (well at least theorized) tract for herding animals in the summer, but did it in the winter. Very desperate, but good guy or bad guy we'll never know.

I've always wondered if he went up there alone. Maybe he was too injured to continue with a group that was on the run.
