You are correct. The Northeast is a painfully left-wing place. I fight them, I hate them, and I try to beat them. I do not think I will be succesfull but the fight is worth it.

I am surprised that many of you Southerners don't know about the stereotypes they hold against you. I disagre with almost all of them and I did live in the South for four years. I love it.

I know I am fighting a losing battle up here but I still fight it. My question is... why does the South still vote Democrat?

I have already stated that I despise Massachusetts. THat does not mean I like so called "Conservative" Southern states that vote Dem. In fact, I hold the South to a higher standard and they have failed. The South kicked ass in the last election, let's see what happens now.

Any Southerner that believes the DNC represents the best interests of the South is INSANE.

Bless yo' po' li'l pea picking heart. Chile, we know. Don'tcha jest know that we have televisions and go to the movies and theatre's also? Why we are even being blamed for that power outage in da north now by some bureaucrat. Onliest thing is though we have out grid in generally good repair. We don't mess 'round down heah, you heah me now. Po thang.

The majority of the blue vote in the South comes from the Yankee infested major cities and their suburbs.

Because Abe Lincoln was a Republican. And besides, there is a world of difference between a Southern Democrat and a Southern Dixiecrat.

A lot of Southerners didn't leave the Democratic Party -- the Party left them. They're just biden their time until good sense prevails.

The "South" does not vote Democratic. Stupid college kids, blacks, homosexuals, soccer moms, most Yankee colonists, all vote Democrat. The oldest bloc of southern Democratic voters are the "yellow dogs," who still remember Lincoln, who was a Republican, and can't get their mind around the concept that the Democrats are a much bigger threat to us than the contemporary Republican party. Reagan helped a lot in changing these attitudes (because of him, I switched from the Libertarian Party, for instance), but the present loser Republican Congress is really, really souring the average conservative voter on the Republicans (including me). Clinton turned all our stomachs, but he's years ago, and memories don't extend past last season's sports scores.

Oh, another thing, I do not hate the "North." I spent several years in New York City, and had a great time. What I've been trying to say is that southerners are a unique people who deserve their own country, whose right to their own country is being destroyed by colonization by Yankees and Mexicans. They don't realize it because they are mesmerized by television and sports. There's no hate involved. It's just a recognition that we are different, just as we are collectively different from Canadians--basically the same people, but we aren't. See?
