According to this NY Times article, from last Wednesday, at his press conference after his economic summit, "Mr. Schwarzenegger said ... that he did not support Proposition 54, which would prohibit the state from collecting racial data. That initiative will appear on the same ballot as the recall on Oct. 7." (read down in article)
If you oppose quotas and reverse racism, this should make you think twice about Arnold.

So, because he doesn't support it, he opposes it?
No, because he doesn't support, HE DOESN'T SUPPORT IT. That's enough for me -- he doesn't support a law that would protect us from racial shake-downs. THANKS ARNOLD.

Divide-and-conquer NY Slimes tactic alert.
Oh, has Arnold demanded a retraction, or threatened to sue? Haven't heard of that, have you?

"Mr. Schwarzenegger said that he would also ask the federal government to help defray the costs of illegal immigration and that he did not support Proposition 54, which would prohibit the state from collecting racial data. That initiative will appear on the same ballot as the recall on Oct. 7."
There you go guys - Arnold is a LIBERAL!

So, because he doesn't support it, he opposes it?Yea, thats one of the few perks of being a conservative. Not many shades of gray. It's almost biblical and obviously smacks of common sense.
To: ianincali
where is the quote?
Where is a quote from Arnold saying he supports this common sense Ward Connerly law? McClintock has said, loud and clear, that he's voting yes. Why is Arnold afraid to support it? If he IS supporting it, give me proof. The truth is, your like most of his knee-jerk followers - - - you don't know what he believes, but you don't care. Real mature.
To: NormsRevenge
he said he is studying the issue
would a real conservative have to "study" the issue of whether government should demand our race when we apply for a job? the Ward Connerly initiative is a no-brainer - - for a real conservative.

I just heard Arnold on Hugh Hewitt and he said he was UNDECIDED ON PROP 54. He also said that his team is looking into the particulars and he will have a position soon. When is this worthless piece of RINO garbage going to tell us what *HE* thinks, as opposed to what his handlers and focus groups think?
That you people continue to support this clown is a pathetic joke.

That sounds like a Gray Davis approach - - - insert finger into mouth and raise it to the wind . Why do you support someone who doesn't have convictions?

"WAKE UP PEOPLE!"
Give me THREE Issues that Arnold would differ from Bustamante.
Arnold won't take the No-Tax Raise pledge, he won't say what he will do about illegal immigration, he's flipflopping on Prop 54 etc etc.

"Step back, look at the situation. McCLINTOCK cannot win."
Simon ran as someone who was on the issues, every bit as conservative and McClintock, and yet Simon, despite running a very inept campaign, nearly unseated Davis.
This is a RECALL Election, mcClintock ONLY NEEDS THE CONSERVATIVE BASE TO WI!
What has Arnold done to appealt to the Conservative Base????

Was Jayson Blair the author of the story?
Are you willing to bet that this story is 100% wrong, and that he will support 54 when directly asked the question in the debate?

If McClintock stays in and splits the vote, his political career is over. I suspect that at the end, he will do the right thing. Right now, he can form the debate and talk about the things that need talking about.
