My youngest walked at that age. Gad! I don't envy you. I spent more time nursing "boo-boos" from him lurching into the coffee table, etc.
I hear you! My other two walked at 12 months so this is new territory for me and yes, he's had his tumbles, especially when his pants are too long and he walks on them. He also is more adventurous. He has exceeded tolerating the gate we have up and wants out all the time. He's a real treasure. I love him to pieces!
You want to talk frightening? My now adult daughter walked (ran really) at 7 months. :-(
