I have some respect for the guy because he really moved out.
Good riddance.

Ah yes but...he's planning to return did he not say that? Freedom Fries, Freedom Dressing, Freedom Vanilla Ice Cream...all sounds good to me. Bye Johnny Dupe...I hardly knew ye and I'm happy about that. :) Enjoy your life in France. Live long and prosper there.

I agree. But I wonder if he'll also become disillusioned with France. France is really pleasant when all you do is eat in Paris restaurants and never talk to any citizens. The NYT's ran an article several months ago about John Malkevich's adventures in moving to France (apparently for different reasons than Mr. Depp). Malkevich has been harrassed by the French tax collectors and bureaucrats in Paris (he owns a large house in the country). He is now planning on moving out. He's only been there several years.

"I have some respect for the guy because he really moved out."He did. But lets see. He has a French wife and he is making anti-American comments after getting rich in Hollywood.
I think he is so hen-pecked. He could just be stupid, but I think he's appeasing his wife.

Depp's move to France from the States improves the IQ of both countries.

I have some respect for the guy because he really moved out. I don't. He remains an American citizen, working in America for American money, and only lives in France because he can afford to do so thanks to money handed to him by stupid American consumers. (France wouldn't allow him to live there if he had to work in France to make ends meet, because they won't let foreigners (except other EUnuchs) take jobs from French citizens. Depp is the lowliest of hypocrites.
I look forward to seeing his kids entering rehab by age 13 ... if they don't kill themselves first.
