It took me many hours of downloading upgrades and patches and then upgrading my virus scan software. I have a dial up modem and the full process from start until I finished with the last virus scan and clean up took over ten hours of time. Now I was not at the desk for that entire time but there were certainly other things I could have been doing with my PC. This was a malicious act of sabotage, inteneded to disrupt lives, not some prank. This also beyond the scope of the average computer user. It was planned and built using hours of scheming and executed with the express purpose of damaging computer users and in hammering comunication. I have no sympathy for this person whatsoever. He purposly, with malice aforthought set a nasty virus loose on all of us. Hang him high and I fully agree with using him as an example. Someone has to be first!

I wasn't harmed by the Blaster but I did get whacked by Sobig.F
I really worry about moving to electronic [and soon internet] voting, I have no confidence that it will be safe.
