So we must do all that we can to elect more Republicans to the Senate so that the 'rats are so totally outnumbered that they become impotent as far as pulling such subversive tactics.

Exactly! The worst thing we can do is give the DemocRATs the idea that their tactics are going to split Republicans and make some threaten to stay home in disgust! Those threats are childish -- wouldn't put up with that from my three kids and no longer going to let the "I am going to take my ball and go home crowd" get a free pass on here without comment either.

Since you are in the mood to comment, are you willing to address my previous question to you? Summarized, you said that the rule that permits filibustering a judical appointment should not be changed. That implies you think it is an okay rule. If you think it is an okay rule, then how do you justify being irked because the DEMs used a just rule?

I opined that I think the rule needs to be changed, because its application in a judicial confirmation context disrupts the balance between the Senate and the President.
