Another important new detail from the book, which has not to my knowledge been previously reported (or at least widely reported. In a March 1994 bombing in Bangkok, "Yousef reportedly used ammonium nitrate mixed with diesel fuel... in a water tank of a six-wheeled (rented) truck."

This is the first time I have seen Yousef specifically connected with an ANFO bomb. Except for the detonators (C-4 in this case), the design is chemically identical to the OKC bombing, just a year and a month earlier.

A notebook was found after our invasion of Afghanistan that had one page entitled "Explosivija za Oklahomu," which means "explosive used in Oklahoma" in Serbo-Croatian ("Bojinka" is also Serbo-Croatian, for "big explosion.") That page contained a description of a formula for a bomb including both ANFO and dynamite. Just such bombs were used against our East African embassies, according to Bodansky, and the explosions resulting, like the OKC explosion, had secondary shock waves that were stronger than the initial blast.
