Not to suggest it costs us nothing, but military aid to Israel is required to be spent in the US on US-manufactured goods.
I oppose all non military aid to Israel and want military aid scaled back oiver a period of years.

The welfare payments are wholly unecessary, and one might wonder why they are an issue year after year. The payments beget obligations. Neither is truly necessary.
If Arabs dumped Islam, or radically changed it, I believe they would shock the world with their success.

It is NOT "Welfare". We get a LOT more in return (In the form of an ally in the Middle East) than what we pay.
I would like to take issue with this.
Democrats could say that public payments are owed to low-income people who live in solidly Repulican states so that they will have "allies" in those areas (actually, this is the exact arguement that they make).
We could say that public assistance is owed in economically depressed areas so that we have "allies" in the area.
Being, or not being, and ally should not depend on bribery. You should want to be an ally because you agree with the political philopshy of the other country. Saying "I am no longer an ally if I do not get X amount of dollars", suggests a false and totally conditional friendship. I don't think that we should have to pay anyone to be our ally. They should do so willingly, and happily, without condition.
Anything beyond this does fall under the conventional definition of welfare, or bribery, or both.
No money should have to change hands between friends, in order for them to remain friends.

I think we have more than met that objective. We all know that if they really wanted to, they could own everything within a 500 mile radius of Tel-Aviv. They are plenty "badass".

Let’s be realistic. I am not a friend of enemies of the United Sates. But despite the pressure some of you feel from me, I am not a racist. A racist is not someone who simply criticizes you. Racism is a derogatory view of your essential nature as human beings, someone who believes that you are inferior by birth, by genetics. Usually a classic racist discriminates by skin color. A sloppy mind is your fault or your cultures fault, it is not dependent on your race at all.

What? Please re-read my #57. According to the notes from the CIA World Factbook on "GDP methodology": "In developing countries with weak currencies the exchange rate estimate of GDP in dollars is typically one-fourth to one-half the PPP estimate."
In other words, if you convert Egypt's GDP into dollars at the official exchange rate, it might turn out to be as low as $70 billion instead of $268 billion. That's all.
