I would as well. The good thing about this is that obviously the different agencies are more coordinated and aren't overlooking anyone.

>> What that means is that Muslims cannot be trusted as loyal Americans simply because they are NOT loyal Americans. Their allegiance is not to their country.

I totally agree. But I would like to add that the muslim cult should not be allowed to exist in this nation, at all. Our nation will never be safe as long as those psychos are here. I am not for banning peaceful religions, like Judaism and Christianity -- just for banning psychotic cults, like the muslims.

Any commissioned officer has to have at least a Secret clearance. That includes chaplains. Reading between the lines and given his West Point pedigree, I would be suprised if he didn't have a Top Secret clearance.

Naturally, that does not mean he had "need to know" in a lot of cases, but it is certain that he was "working" in close rapport with the psy-ops guys that were conducting the interrogations. All in all, it doesn't look very good.

He probably learned a lot more than he was supposed to simply because he wasn't considered a threat. His fellow officers probably thought of him as an American Officer first and a Muslim second -- to their sorrow.

I suspect that this is going to cause major reviews of the U.S. Armed Forces policy on Islamics in uniform -- as well it should.

Perhaps I'm giving the Army too much credit, but I suspect they had their eye on this clown for a while, used him to track down other treasonous cretins, and then arrested him.

Depending on how far you want to go with that- the Army may have put him in that position in the first place because they knew what he was up to. If they had always suspected him, it would make sense.

Also, what chaplain has access to sensitive information?

I believe all info from the detainees would be considered classified.

How would you enforce such a ban?

"the only good Muslim is a bad Muslim"

That expression has a great deal of resonance to it. Possibly enough to merit proud display on peoples' bumpers, and at least a tag line or two.

Might want to copyright that. :^)

I wish I could claim that I originated that, but I'm sure I picked it up from someone else here at FreeRepublic.

Suspend their civil rights (under Presidential order, there is a state of emergency). Round them up. Jail some, deport the rest.

Don't let the constitution get in the way. Remember what the dems used to say: "Stroke of the pen, law of the land, kind of cool."

How would you determine who was muslim and who not?

I agree with most of what you have said, and for all intensive purposes you are preaching to the choir. However, when you have moved outside the realm of Free Republic and ask the question of whether,"Islam is a peaceful religion?" The numbers are surprisingly low, something like 22% of the American public will tell you that Islam is not a peaceful religion. I find this very troubling.

Excellent cannidate for execution. That is after we get every last piece of intel info from him. Was he allowed back into the army after going to Syria? How did that happen? Let me guess? Clinton administration?

You're most welcome. I found all but three of the books at my local library.

I know I am preaching to the choir. But I am not masochistic enough to go to DU and try to make this point.

Hopefully, however, there will be some hard-headed looks at the Islamics in uniform. It won't be much, but it will be a start.

"Hopefully, however, there will be some hard-headed looks at the Islamics in uniform."

In my opinion, any proper background investigation for anyone in a chaplain position would and should turn up current or potential reliability problems.

Just sayin'.

I have been suspecting something since the first gulf war. I just never trusted a muslim in uniform and I see them everyday. I am more faithful to God than country so why would they not be the same? Although I consider myself be to be 100% in both God and country. However as a free thinker and one with free will, my pastor could not influence me to do something that was not God's teaching. However since the Koran does teach them to do ill against the infidels they have no problem betraying their country.

Where does the line for firing squad volunteers starts? I want to be first in line!
