The 1991 notes about Yee completing airborne school at Ft Knox are wrong. There is no airborne school at Ft Knox. It is possible that he went to Bragg to airborne school while he was stationed at Ft Knox.
I served as a Chaplain at Ft Knox from 1991 to 1995. I did not meet Yee so far as I remember...but who knows. He would have been a young lieutenant. That indicates he had an armor or a mech infantry MOS. If he were Air Defense and in charge of a Patriot battery, he would have been at Ft Bliss and not at Ft Knox.
They did develop a "muslim chapel" at Ft Knox in that period. I'm thinking 92 or 93. The post commander was either Funk or Jordan. Jordan is still in I think; has his 3rd or 4th star.

Knox in that article. Other articles say he was at Knox learning how to repair vehicles, which makes more sense. Thanks for pointing it out again, though.

An Army Islamic chaplain, who counseled al Qaeda prisoners at the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, naval base, has been charged with espionage, aiding the enemy and spying, The Washington Times has learned. The Army has charged Capt. Yee with five offenses: sedition, aiding the enemy, spying, espionage and failure to obey a general order. The Army may also charge him later with the more serious charge of treason, which under the Uniform Code of Military Justice could be punished by a maximum sentence of life.
Dare call it Treason.
Treason and Espionage are capital offenses, are they not?
This isn't some dumb or confused civilian. This is a soldier who has betrayed his country in the most profound way.
I support the death penalty for certain military offenses, and this looks to be a classic example of something which warrants the death penalty.
