Geez, what would they charge if pot were illegal in Canada?

It is illegal---to grow commercially or sell to recreational users. There is no economic reason for legality of personal-use possession to lower prices.

Ohhhh.

You see, I've been hearing about how enlightened Canada was regarding pot, how the judges negated the law, the police weren't enforcing it, people were smoking in front of the police station....

So, you can smoke it, you just can't buy it. Or sell it. Or grow it commercially. And smoking it -- is that a permanent law now?

Hmmm, I guess they're not that enlightened, huh?
