In Bamiyan, the New Zealand heroes take a break and perform their traditional warrior dance, the 'haka'.

Anyone know of a video clip of this "dance"? Might be cool, or funny depending on ones mood or outlook I guess. :)

Ka Mate! Ka Mate! Ka ora! Ka ora!

It is Death! It is Death! It is life! It is life!

Clip this into your browser and give it a listen, mate: or *click here* for an MP3 version]

It's been mighty popular with those attending NZ *All Blacks* Rugby matchs.

Not real funny if those people doing that little dance might be out to kill you. And eat you.

It impresses the heck out of the Gurkhas, and those lads are not easily impressed. Some of them have learned it and are pretty good at it too. Of course, they're also known to be fond of the bagpipe....

The All Blacks performed the *Ka Mate* Haka in France during a game there a year or so back. I'm amazed France didn't just flat-out surrender to New Zealand....

Ka mate! Ka mate! Ka ora! Ka ora!
Ka mate! Ka mate! Ka ora! Ka ora!
Tenei te tangata puhuru huru
Nana nei i tiki mai
Whakawhiti te ra
A upa ... ne! ka upa ... ne!
A upane kaupane whiti te ra!
Hi !!!
