Donald O'Conner really did run up the wall in that scene, no trick photography!

Thanks for settling that! "Make 'Em Laugh" is one of the most spectacular numbers in the history of motion pictures. If you think that kind of dancing can't be done, I advise everyone to look at a Nicholas Brothers movie ("Stormy Weather" for example.)
