In re Whiskey in Saudi Arabia:

Many Saudis are bad boozers. The richer they are, the worse they are. The rich guys drink the best and a lot of it, the poor and Bedouins get hooked on a vicious home brew called "saddiqui which is Arabic for "my friend." There is also an ancient and honorable home-brew community among the ex-pats working there. (Don't ask me how I know.)

But nothing fits the description of "wretched excess" like Arabs when they are out visiting the West, or cruising on their yachts to to Dubai or Quatar. They do not handle it well, by the way.

Talk amongst yourselves now, about re-colonizing the oil lands.

Actually, Scotland is loaded with Muslims. Just go to Glasgow or Edinburgh and you'll see Muslims and Mosques all over the place

Which is totally understandable, given that much of the former Empire covered Muslim lands.
