I told my wife last night I'm gonna give some money to McClintock.

Ain't it something? Millionaire Arnold, a liberal, has pals showering his butt with cash. The real conservative is being told to pack up and get the hell out of the CA GOP!

A GOP party that mocks a conservative deserves to be left to twist in the wind and never win another office of any kind.

>Homo-erotic tendancies

I'm not sure where you're getting this from. Are you projecting?

Mapplethorpe (sp?) photo shoots and interviews that stated he knew and felt comfortable with homosexuals looking at him, etc.. Not saying Arnold is a homo. Nor am I saying Bill Clinton is a homo. Just pointing out similarities to the two men working comfortably around homosexuals in their respective fields.

As for your question: Am I projecting?

No.

But I find it interesting that you zeroed in on that aspect of my list of asserted similarities. The question therefore falls to you.

You TomBots keep misunderstanding the controller results. Liberals, moderates, and independants WILL vote for someone they view as a strong, compentant conservative in a specialized skill position such as controller. They don't worry that the conservative (and his ideology) will be in a position to affect the things they hold near and dear.

The statewide results don't have essay questions articulating the reasons why they voted for McClintock. They just did, despite Westly's bringing his pro-life stance into the campaign. You've got nothing to back up your assertion.

There's no telling what would have happened last November if Bill Simon had not made that false accusation about Davis accepting campaign contributions in his office. As it was, Simon -- whose social stances are identical to McClintock's -- received 3,169,801 votes (42.4% of the vote to Davis's 47.3%) to topple a guy who conducted a multi-million dollar negative "puke" campaign impugning his competency, business acumen, and decency as a human being. The downside on Davis was huge, but because of Simon's bumbling in his own campaign, he couldn't effectively address the lies and corruption of the Davis administration without being asked about specious claims of lies and corruption in his business ventures.

The impetus of this entire recall was the truth about the budget deficit -- which Davis underplayed during the gubernatorial campaign -- and the tripling of the car tax. These are issues that are right up McClintock's alley, and he has already received the votes of over three million Californians based on his being a -- as you put it -- "strong, compentant conservative."

Do you even live in California?

I guess some people like you, if it's not laid out for them on a tabulated essay form, just are clueless. The rest of us watch and study people, their actions and results, to deduce what happened.

Question: When monthly economic reports come out, let's say the consumer spending report, do economists say "Well gee, I don't know why consumer spending is down because consumers didn't fill out essay forms after each purchase, articulating why they bought or didn't buy."?

No they don't (at least if they don't want to get laughed at). They form opinions and state reasons why by studying human nature, and cause and effect, prior histories, etc.

You made a supposedly definitive statement explaining away McClintock's strong showing in last November's general election, which belies the knee-jerk RINO claim that social conservatives are unelectable in California. You made that bold claim despite the fact that you are not a Californian (or else you would have answered affirmatively to my question), so there's no way that you could tell me -- a lifelong San Francisco resident -- what is going on here as if you actually were "watch[ing] and study[ing] people."
