Many of us echo your prayers or offer similiar daily or several times each day.

Well Gramps...as one Grampa to another...I know this.

If enough of us offer up such prayers in faith...and if we then ourselves live in accordance with the desire of those prayers, then our Father above will either influence those in power to change accordingly ...or He will bring in those leaders who are possessing of such a heart at some point.

We may have to hoe some rough rows in the mean time...but I have absolute faith in this. He will not forget or abandon His faithful as long as we seek His guidance and live in accrodance with His will and Word. Meaning virtue, honesty, integrity, humility, charity, morality and an absolute commitment and respect for free will that does not infringe on others.

He will accomplish His purposes in the midst of those principles. It is why this nation was founded IMHO.

Why take that quote out of context? I was referring to our information in libraries and on the internet. Why don't you sell your services to the liberals, they appreciate quotes out of context. Naturally, if a cache of WMD's is found in a stash of weapons in Iraq it would be proof positive that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, even if they weren't used. Until then, we have quite a few administration spokesmen that are experts in the use of weapons of mass hysteria. You seem to be one of those.

I agree with most of what you say, but if this is the best intelligence and the best judgement that our authorities have when presented with that intelligence, we are indeed in bad shape.

The biggest problem with crying wolf too often, is the fact that when the wolf does appear at the door, nobody will believe it. This is when the serious problem arises.

There was no need to cry wolf, and in my opinion we did not cry wolf in Iraq. We took out a regime that had violated its own agreements with us when hostitlities ended at the end of Desert Storm.

I have always viewed it that way...and this administration should present it that way IMHO.

The WMDs are a necessary part of that...and very much worth rooting out...but they were not and did not need to be the end all.

"Unless these people produced a coke bottle with anthrax, there is no WMD."

Bush could hold a Presidental address, reach behind his desk, and place a pair of chemical warheads from Iraq on his desk, and the liberal media would deny and downplay. In this vein they have common cause with Baghdad Bob; the desire to defeat Bush. Full stop. It isn't incompetence, laziness, or negligence; it's that their agenda is more important to them than integrity. Journalism is merely their vehicle for remaking the world in their image.

To date, as measured by government reports and accepted public surveys, each of those propositions is false, according to the center.

Not going to pull out a check list but the very first SCUD they found parked behind a tree was considered a WMD. It's range was further than what SH was allowed. We all know that was just the beginning.

Are you sure your name isn't "meanie".

You are right--the quote was out of context but my response was to your whole comment. How can you compare Saddams intentions to the intentions of the library? How can you defend a despicable tyrranical dictator who has proven that he can mass murder with WMD? The media won't forgive ARnold for groping 30 years ago yet you and the media are willing to forgive Saddam and assume that now he has found religion.

Talk about taking words out of context--Bush said we should never wait for the imminent threat, not that we were at imminent threat. If you are so convinced that if Saddam should decide to share his dirty secrets with the terrorists that he would have plenty of time to develop the weapons and that we in turn would have plenty of time to defend ourselves then explain why Saddam would not come clean and let the world know how he destroyed the weapons. If you are so convinced that Saddam meant no ill will, why did he kill the scientists that spoke with the inspectors, if you are so convinced that Saddam meant no ill then why did he bury all those planes? If you are so convinced that Saddam meant no ill then why after the inspectors said there were no weapons his son in law shows them where they are (oops, I guess the UN just did not look there). No, meanie, once a snake always a snake no matter how much you think a snake would be a cute pet.

The Cox Report revealed the ChiComs (who bought the Clintons) got our classified missile and warhead data--but Clinton wagged the dog in Kosovo.

Now the Kay report shows how dangerous Saddam's WMD programs were and are--but clintonista press maggots spew smears on Plamania, twenty-five-year-old bimbosquawk, and ESPN fairies swinging purses.

The vial of botulinum discovered would kill all the reporters and anchormen in the world.

That would be a bad thing. . .how?

We have zero WMD to show for the invasion.

I would have liked the following justification:

"We had unfinished business in Iraq and couldn't let the sanctions continue to sag and we couldn't just let Iraq resume sovereignty."

"If we just let Iraq do its thing, then their WMD programs would resume full bore - no one disagrees with that. And for all we know, admittedly not much, they might even have a clandestine program to pass on bio or chem weapons to US- targeting terrorists."

But this would need to accompany a full discussion of Saudi Arabia and Wahabbi Islam, Pakistan's Muslim nutballs poised to acquire nukes through the government, our extortion payments of oil and food to North Korea, and Russia's building up of Iran's nukes. For starters.

We have zero WMD to show for the invasion.

So?

We did not need them (WMDs) as far as I am concerned. Saddam had violated over and over again terms and conditions that brought Desert Storm to an end and as I understand it we had unilateral provisions in those agreements to act.

Now we have.

The WMD program was clearly advanced and continuing even if they had produced no weapons and it was good icing to put a halt to it. But that did not have to be the justification and I never looked at it that way and wish this administration had not set it forth that way.

Just my own opinion and views on the matter.

I also wish the Administration didn't go to the UN without knowing they had the votes.

Sorta like "Don't ask a question you don't know the answer to" - standard lawyer strategy.

Saddaam was/is a nutball and murdering, thieving tyrant. Now that this is out of the way, let's look at the strategic importance of having our forces tied down in Iraq and unable to be used to further our forcefulness in foreign policy. Does it make you feel safer to know that NK can thumb their nose at us and continue with their nuclear program because they know we are tied down with Iraq? The same can be said with Iran, with Russia continuing to support their program in defiance of the US.

The big picture shows that Russia and China are the biggest supporters of terrorism in the world. They use client states such as Iran, Iraq, NK, Sudan, Kosovo, to further their campaign against the United States. Moving to Central and South America, they are involved up to their eyeballs in Cuba, Venzuela, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, and we set here letting the takeover continue while arguing over WMD's being found or missing in Iraq. Iraq is the perfect diversion.

We sleep while the rest of the world moves on into the Islamic-commie partnership of tyranny, wasting our resources on a straw-man. We proclaim that a former KGB head is a decent and honorable man which we can trust. How in the hell do you suppose he got to be head of the KGB? China is our friendly trading partner, and using our trade deficit to build up their fleet and install more missiles against Tiawan.

If we and our leaders don't wake up soon we will be conversing in Russian and Chinese dialects. This is my opinion and I grant you I am not an anti-war bigot supporting the socialist take-over but am worried about the future of our country. There is too much ideological chatter and not enough thinking at the present time. A house divided will be a weaker house if we don't get our head out of our proverbial ass.
