BUMP!!
Human Rights Watch, which started counting noncombatant bodies in Iraq two decades ago during the Iran-Iraq War, has some strong words against U.S. military intervention in Iraq. But its first-hand research documents that most civilian casualties have been the work of the regime, not coalition forces.

"The UN placed Iraq funds 'with five different creditworthy banks' but won't disclose which ones or how much money is on account."Why has this remained secret? Why hasn't the U.S. government demanded to know exactly where this money is? Why hasn't the U.S. government withheld all funding from the U.N. until this information is released?
"In nearly seven years of operation, the program has never been audited."
Why hasn't the U.S. government demanded an audit?
Any American willing to trust the fate of the United States to the United Nations is a fool.

You are very welcome. Thank you for all the great news from Iraq the the national media refuses to show. If it weren't for FR, most of this news would not even get mentioned.

"If the Iraqi people and the Americans help us for the next year-and-a-half, I almost guaranteeI guarantee it to the president but I almost guarantee it to the American people that we will have different Iraq. Iraq who is going to help United States."God bless his soul, and I thank him very much. I missed that, because September 22 is my birthday and I was at the doctor's with my pregnant eldest daughter, discovering she's not doing as well as she should be.
What's with the October 11 date on this?

"Why hasn't the U.S. government demanded to know exactly where this money is?"The administration WAS demanding the UN turn the money over. The UN is fooling around, making excuses, and vaguely explaining that audits need to be done now. A French bank has most of the money. It was being reported, but sudden;y slipped from the radar months ago.
France. Always France. And the UN. Caught in the middle of a huge extortion scheme while cozying up to dictator Saddam. But which demands control of post war Iraq. Always France and the UN. And Russia and Germany in smaller doses.
