Actor's Female Fans Reject Groping Tales. Schwarzenegger Defended by Women

SACRAMENTO, Oct. 5 -- The "Remarkable Women for Arnold" came in all ages, from both major political parties and from no political party at all.

The women made up at least half of the supporters at Schwarzenegger's rally here today. And they defended him as a mother would against allegations that he groped women sexually despite his having admitted "behaving badly" on movie sets.

If anything, women interviewed said, the sexual misconduct stories only made them angrier at Davis and Schwarzenegger's other opponents.

It's been so many years ago, and it's funny about how your memory works, but this just popped out of mine after reading this story.

Does anyone remember the story of a woman who got a ticket for public nudity at an event (25 years ago) at least?

She came up to him and asked him to show her his chest.

Arnold: "Show me your's first."

The girl ended up doing it. Got a ticket because of it too. And yes, Arnold showed her his chest afterwards.

Like I said. Strange how memory works and how things can stay dormant so many years...

My sister and I went to the rally in Sacramento today and we were both intereviewed by a tv reporter from LA probably because we had the "remarkable women for Arnold" signs.

The only thing the reporter wanted to know was how we felt about the accusations against Arnold.

One really rude man came along and told my sister "You've got big boobs, he (meaning Arnold) would probably grope you."

Not good.


My sister told that rude guy off and the reporter ran him off.

Quite a day.

Nothing seems to unite people on Free Republic behind Arnold more than Puke Politics.

I've heard people who sounded earlier like they wanted to assassinate Arnold for getting in the way of Tom suddenly changing to a virulent defense of Arnold.

It's really quite remarkable.

I remember the same story. IIRC Arnold was reported as being sick and tired of similar requests and hoped to stop hers, but she called his bluff.
