Your understanding is correct...I am sure. I always saw him billed as "Hollywood producer", not "movie theater heir" Being unfamiliar with the inner business of Hollywood, I assumed he made money enough money on his own to buy contolling interest in am NFL franchise.
He still is a product of that peculiar Hollyweird culture.
