Only Democrats could get away with saying things like:

"Ken Starr is one mistake away from having no knee-caps," (James Carville threatening an IC during Clinton impeachment);

"Schwarzeneger is going to find out, that unlike a Hollywood movie set, the bullets coming at him in this campaign are going to be real bullets," (Bob Mulholland during Cali recall);

"I hope his wife (Clarence Thomas') feeds him lots of eggs and butter and he dies early, like many black men do, of heart disease," (Julianne Malveaux, on hate talk-radio);

"The NRA should be disbanded and its President Charlton Heston should be shot with a .44-caliber Bulldog magnum pistol," (Spike Lee on violence in America)...oh, the hypocrisy.

And to think, these are the compassionate people who call talk-radio, hate-radio and call anyone with a dissenting point of view, bigots. Rush Limbaugh is labled a racist for saying the "media" wants black players to succeed, yet when Isiah Thomas said, "if Larry Bird were black, he'd be just another NBA player," no such incriminations were made. I don't seem to remember any fines levied on Thomas for that statement and he even went on to GM and coach two different B-Ball teams.

And how about the comments made this past season by Cub Manager Dusty Baker, who said that Latins and Blacks are better suited to playing in warmer temperatures than are white people, and that black slaves were brought to this country for that very reason. Was he censored by Baseball for that racist statement? He was not.

At a meeting with CNN staffers (2001) in the network's Washington bureau on Ash Wednesday, CNN founder Ted Turner noticed a number of employees had ashes on their foreheads. "What are you," Turner reportedly asked, "a bunch of Jesus freaks? You ought to be working for Fox." After Fox News recounted the incident Tuesday night on "Special Report With Brit Hume," Catholic League president William Donohue issued a diatribe about Turner: "He may be just as dumb as John Rocker, but unlike the Atlanta pitcher, he occupies a position of significant influence in our culture," Donohue said.

Unfortunately, John Rocker who made similar incensitive comments, wasn't granted the pardon that Turner was. Unlike his boss (Turner), the Atlanta Braves pitcher was reprimanded, rediculed and forced to attend diversity training. It is not only a liberal bias in the media, it is a complete double-standard on how the media treats those they recognize as friends and those they oppose as foes. The media has essentially become the "Press Secretary" and spin-machine for the Democrat Party and liberal agenda.
