>>The first time I ever thought about this was in an Art History class, when the professor told us that all education amounts to is knowing how to find out what you need to know. It is the only definition of education I have ever heard that made sense! The professor, Dr. Robert Engass, had a Ph. D. in Art History, but he knew that was not the reason he was an educated man.<<

This brought tears to my eyes. My dear departed daddy had an honorary Associates Degree from a local community college. They gave it to him after he taught there in the 70's. He was brilliant. In his classes he said the same and had nothing but research papers to make the grades! Back then, work experience was as good as that piece of paper.

Back then, a High School diploma was equivalent to most College diplomas today.

What is education? (or, how do you know someone is educated?)

An educated person is one who doesn't vote straight Democratic. Thus an educated person is one who actually uses his or her own mind and refuses to be manipulated by the forces of the left.
