I am 24 and when I was 21 learned that I had two herinated disks in my lower back. I player DIII lacrosse, surfed, hunted, and lifted alot of weights. It was extremly painful and I have resisted taking strong medication. I am still able to surf and hunt but everyday contact of lacrosse or other sports is impossible. Long story short, I live in pain because I am afraid of strong drugs. My prayers are with Rush. I can understand how even the strongest people can not overcome their pain.

I will be praying for him...and I'll say one for you too. Courage.

I understand where you're coming from. I screwed up my knee very badly in a soccer game last year, and the doctors said I could have surgery to ease the pain right away, or tough it out for a few months to let it heal on its own. With surgery, the knee would never get back to 100%. So I lived with the pain for several months, and was going through jars of ibuprofen so I wouldn't have to go on heavy narcotics. It was no fun.

To Rush: Best wishes for your complete and speedy rehabilitation. We're all pulling for you here.

Long story short, I live in pain because I am afraid of strong drugs.

I too had chronic pain, neck pain so severe that it would wake me at night, I couldn't turn my head while driving some days, this lasted for a year. And I am convinced I'd still have it to this day.

One day I was talking to someone who had suffered back pain in an accident and without my even telling him of my own troubles, he started talking about a homeopathic product, it's called Arniflora (Arnica Gel), it's made from a mountain flower called arnica, has been used for centuries for this, and is used by coaches today in sports.

Right after talking to this man, I went to a nearby homeopathic store, luckily they carried it, I started using it that day, a Friday, and by the Monday after that there was a noticeable difference.

Within 3 weeks, most of the pain was gone, I was able to move my neck more which helped loosen it up. I'd recommend it to anyone, maybe it would help your back or even Rush's.

I've even seen it for sale on the web. No side effects. Nothing internal. An amazing product, maybe it won't help all sorts of pain, but it's worth trying if anyone's interested.
