The only way 2004 can be another sweep of sorts would be if there is a constant haranguing on the theme that the Democrats are socialists and blockers of any financial reform.

Until Republican politicians grow some backbone, the party will keep bouncing back and forth in elections and barely get a majority.

If the Republicans get bold, they could get these super majorities for a while and make some proper changes for the government.

That is how I see it anyway.
