The rabbi is getting on my nerves. Did he have similar outrage to other movies about CHrist like the Last Temptation? What is he so scared about?

The simple and undeniable fact is that Jesus was condemned in a Roman court on a Roman charge, and put to death by a method of execution used only by the Romans, just as the two leading historians of the time, Josephus and Tacitus, expressly maintain.

Then, obviously Peter is lying when he tells the Jews:

"Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs which God did among you through him as you yourselves know. This man was handed over to you by God's set purpose and foreknowledge, and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross." {Acts 2:22-23, NIV}

and

"Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ." {Acts 2:36, NIV}

All these Jewish rabbis, wanting to be known as "God's chosen" and they disregard the Bible. Go figure

The Hollywood crowd won't condemn Mel because they've known and worked with him for 25 years and they all know he's not an anti-semite. Plus, he's already screened Passion for most of his Hollywood friends, half of whom are Jewish, and they all know it's not anti-semitic. Cher was reportedly almost hysterical with tears -- maybe there's hope for her yet!

Plus the Hollyweirdos don't want this kind of invective hurled at them or their anti-Christian projects. Little Ronnie Howard must be quaking in his baby shoes while he directs the virulently anti-Catholic Da Vinci Code. And, don't forget that all the while this Mel-destruction has been going on this past year, Ridley Scott has been filming The Crusades, rumored to be much more sympathetic to Muslims than to Christians. Considering that Muslims already take such joy in murdering Christians, The Crusades is likely to incite, inflame, yada yada yada.

Elsewhere, I have written a lengthy refutation of the New Testament's passion narratives...

Oh, I get it, since you don't believe the New Testament, Mel Gibson is an anti-semite, and by extention, so is every Christian who believes in the New Testament.

Rabbi Shmuley Boteach can eat his words when the film breaks every box office record! Wishing ill-will on one man's dreams and faithful endeavor is only an iota from hypocrisy.
